Weather and Climate

The incredible weather in Cyprus is perhaps the top reason for the vast amount of tourism it enjoys. Over summer Ayia Napa records fantastic temperatures and the peak months of July and August have been known to reach as high as 40°C at times. Over summer you can expect around 13 hours of uninterrupted sunshine during the day which gives you plenty of time to work on your tan. With cloudless skies and not a drop of rain, Ayia Napa holidays are a great way to spend summer.

The winter in Ayia Napa isn’t as hot as summer, of course, though the temperatures are still higher than the majority of places in Europe making it a great place to visit at any time of the year. While January and February are the coldest months of year as well as the period where the most rain fall comes, you can still expect temperatures to stay above 15°C. While the temperatures aren’t burning hot they remain very good and with 5 hours of sunshine you can escape the cold British winters.
