Rum is a very popular thing for tourists to buy while in the Caribbean. Buses in the resort are good as they are usually on time and cheap. Taxis are also good and generally have reasonable fares; however it is important to agree the price before you get into the taxi.
Barbados Weather and Climate
Barbados is a tropical paradise and has hot temperatures of around 30°C every day. Down along the coast you will find pleasant sea breezes that keep you comfortable in the heat and warm water temperatures of around 25°C. May, June, August and September are the hottest months in Barbados; however mid-December to mid-April is the high season as there is little humidity and very little rain. During the evenings, the temperatures do decrease to 21-23°C, making it slightly more comfortable. Although May is a dry month, the humidity does creep up and it can become very hot. On average, you will find around 9 hours of sunshine a day, making it perfect for sunbathing. June to November is known as the rainy season; however you will still find a lot of sunshine and high temperatures. When there is rainfall, it is over very quickly and soon almost un-noticeable.
