The Queen Set to Visit the Regions Most Spectacular Tourist Spots

With Dubai quickly emerging as one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, it is no surprise that UK officials are eager to solidify a relationship between the two countries. This week the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have commenced a five day visit to Abu Dhabi in an attempt to boost a British identity in the region. In the first visit to the United Arab Emirates, the Queen is set to spend time in many of the region’s most spectacular tourist spots. The Queen will spend time with the ruler of Dubai, H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who has spoken out of his hopes for a positive partnership “We have a firm desire to build better relations and expand cooperation at all levels based on the common future vision which is full of optimism and confidence.”

Abu Dhabi has worked to create a worldwide tourist destination, unveiling several high profile attractions in 2010 alone including the impressive Ferrari World. With a selection of luxury hotels and sprawling shopping centres, tourists from all across the world have been opting to travel the extra distance to the region. The relationship between the UK and the UAE has been long standing, reaching back over 40 years. With so much potential for tourism and business opportunities it would seem that the Royal visit is a positive step forward. Abu Dhabi was recently recognised by the World Travel Awards as the World’s Leading Tourist Board, an award that has definitely put Abu Dhabi on the map!
