Updates on Delays, Cancellations and Closures

The morning has started quite steady for airports, UK travellers have cause for optimism. While heavy snow and icy weather isn’t yet on the decline, air travel is OK and most flights are running on time throughout the UK major airports.

With more snow due to come over the weekend today we may be experiencing the calm before the storm, either way will all be experiencing a very white Christmas. While that concept was a desirable one earlier in the year it has now come with its fair share of trouble. Road travel is the biggest struggle today for travellers and as usual the general warning is to set off early if you are looking to catch a flight as your journey may take longer than expected.

Today airports in UK are open though there is scope for change as the day goes by, but so far airports in London are the biggest sufferers although there are no airports closed:

London Heathrow Airport: Flight Disruption

London Gatwick Airport: Possible Flight Disruption

London Stanted Airport: Possible Flight Disruption

London City Airport: Possible Flight Disruption

While there are no major flight delays or cancellation as of yet it appears that some can be expected over the course of the day. Keep checking online to go the most recent updates on your own flight to make sure you don’t waste a journey on those treacherous roads.
