American rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers will soon commence a tour of Europe, giving holidaymakers the perfect excuse to combine a city break with a performance by one of the world’s biggest bands.
The tour begins in Cologne, Germany on 7 October and ends in Madrid on 17 December, taking in a huge number of Europe’s great cities in between. The tour moves from Cologne to Hamburg in Germany, then into Sweden for two dates in the country’s city break favourite Stockholm. From there Herning in Denmark welcomes the band before they head to Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Couples wanting to combine a romantic city holiday with a concert by their favourite band can catch the Chili Peppers in Paris, where they will play on the 18th and 19th of October.
The UK gets a huge number of shows, with the band performing three dates in London before heading to Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham. Dublin is also included on the tour, with a concert scheduled for 4 November at The O2 in the city. After the UK the band head back to Germany before covering Austria, Italy, Switzerland and finally Barcelona and Madrid in Spain in December.
The Chili Peppers will be performing material from their new album I’m With You – their first in five years – which they released in August. The album reached the top of the charts in the UK and number two in the US charts after its release in August. Fans lucky enough to get tickets for the tour will get to hear the latest single The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie alongside old favourites such as Californication and Under the Bridge.
