Saudi Celebrates Summer in Style

Summer of Festivals set to Put Saudi on the Map
The Saudi Arabia summer season is set to be one of the best yet with 18 fantastic tourism festivals planned for 2010. The festivals will cover everything from entertainment to culture, sports and traditional heritage, ideal for anyone experiencing the region for the first time. This new campaign will span five weeks during the summer and is titled ‘In summer, think of the Kingdom’ which coincides with the identity campaign for Saudi Arabia ‘Saudi tourism, rich in diversity’.
The festivals vary in length and location and combine fun and excitement with learning about this diverse region. Beginning at the end of June, the festivities will last well into July culminating in a three week celebration in the Al Madina province. Those planning on visiting Saudi Arabia over this period can choose which festivals they wish to attend during their break. The biggest events are as follows;

RIYADH FESTIVAL FOR SHOPPING AND ENTERTAINMENT
Starts on June 27, 2010
This festival will last for one month, in which 19 shopping malls and entertainment centres will all join together for lively celebrations
JEDDAH GAIR FESTIVAL 31
Starts on July 7, 2010
Contains fascinating cultural, entertaining, and sport events.
AL TAIF 23RD SUMMER FESTIVAL
Starts on July 7, 2010
The Eastern Province Summer Festival, which will include a series of programs and festivals designed especially for the residents and visitors of Al Taif.
AL MADINA
Starts on July 13, 2010
The Al Madina province will launch 200 special events related summer festival under the slogan “Gathering of Your Loved Ones,” lasting for three weeks.
