Sharm El Sheikh and Red Sea Area

The Foreign Office continue to advise against all but essential travel to Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor and Suez. There is a curfew being imposed in these areas, however this is not being enforced in the Red Sea Resort area, including both Sharm El Sheikh and Hurgada, where the situation remains calm and the resorts are operating as normal.

Sharm el Sheikh is around an 8 hour drive from Cairo, and Hurgada is approx 460 km from Cairo and approx 290 km from Luxor.

We shall keep the website updated with the most relevant advice from the Foreign Office but currently flights to Sharm El Sheikh are operating as normal.
