Top Ten Tourist Destinations Revealed!

Is Your Favourite on the List?
In a recent travel survey, a list of the top destinations for British travellers in 2010 has been revealed. The list covers destinations from all around the world, indicating that British tourism has come a long way since the days of seaside breaks! However topping the list is a destination that appears to be a firm favourite with tourists, Spain.
Alicante, Malaga and Palma have been awarded the top positions in the survey, all three ranking as the most popular searched for destinations of the year. Just behind these Spanish favourites is Faro, in Portugal and Dalaman in Turkey, both resorts offering a variety of tourist packages catering for everyone from families to young travellers. Tenerife comes in just behind Turkey followed by the popular party island, Ibiza.
Compared to last year’s travel survey there are three new long haul destinations that have made it into the list. New York and Orlando are flying the flag for the American destinations, both offering very different but extremely enjoyable holiday experiences. Orlando especially has a wide range of forthcoming attractions opening in summer 2010, which may account for this rapid rise in holidays to the sunshine state. Bangkok is the tenth destination replacing Paris as the final place on the annual survey.
Although Spain did have seven destinations in the survey last year, the country is still showing that it has what it takes to continually attract large numbers of tourists each year. However the addition of long haul destinations such as Bangkok may be an indication of how the travel industry will be developing over the next 12 months.
