Cesme is a brilliant resort for couples and families looking for a relaxing holiday with each other. The transfer time for this resort is around an hour and a half, meaning you plenty of time to look at the scenery that the rest of Turkey has to offer. It also gives to a chance to gain an understanding of the location of the resort and the accommodation within the resort. The beach is fairly small, however there are larger options very nearby, covered with golden sands. Many of the hotels are 2-4-stars with larger hotels being found just outside the resort. You will find that many of them have swimming pools as well as a variety of other facilities.

Day time in Cesme is focussed primarily around the beach. There are water sports at the larger beaches nearby, with the most popular being windsurfing. You can also try surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling, water-skiing or jet-skiing. Shopping is another popular activity, as is enjoying the sunshine. The resort is very relaxing, with plenty of places for you to enjoy the sunshine and not worry about a thing. There are plenty of excursions for you to go on such as a sightseeing and shopping trip to Izmir, visiting other beaches, or learning about history and culture in the other towns. Fishing and sailing are also popular activities for you to try.
Cesme - wide selection of restaurants to choose from
Cesme is full of the local Turkish cuisine, as well as a lot of seafood. All of the local cuisine is highly recommended, however if this is not your taste then try some of the more international cuisines. You will find Italian, Chinese and British foods as well as fast food. All prices also tend to be very reasonable. There are discos and live-music bars available to you in the evenings, however nothing stays open all night like it does in other resorts. There are plenty of shops for you to go to that sell clothing, jewellery and souvenirs. There is a regular bus connection taking you into Izmir as well as other resorts. Buses tend to offer cheap fares as well.
Cesme Weather and Climate
During the summer months, Cesme has been known to reach temperatures of anything between 28-32°C. You will also be lucky enough to see over 10 hours of sunshine a day. The days tend to be quite hot, with the evenings remaining warm but comfortable. You are very unlikely to see any rain during the summer months as this tends to appear in the colder winter months. Spring and Autumn still show between 8 and 9 hours of sunshine a day with temperatures remaining high at around 25°C. Water temperatures tend to be high in the summer making the beach even more popular, however in the winter it tends to be a lot cooler.
