You will find some great cuisine about in Playa Del Cura, with restaurants serving great Spanish and Greek dishes. The area has strong fishing roots, as does many areas on the island, and as a result you will be able to find some fine seafood restaurants also.
Then nightlife in the area is muted somewhat, this is because the area aims to attract a quieter crowd such as families and couples. There are few bars here and there and your hotel will offer some nightly entertainment, but if you want a late night out then you will need to head to a livelier resort such as Puerto Rico. There you will find plenty of places to enjoy a few drinks.

Set down on the South Eastern coast, Playa Del Cura enjoys some of the best weather in all of Gran Canaria. Across the southern coast is where the highest temperatures are and in summer Playa Del Cura records around 28°C. The dry climate means you won’t see much if any rain during your visit.
Over the winter period the temperatures will just about half, as will the hours of sunshine during the day. The amount of rain will increase also, but you can still expect things to clear up fairly quickly because of the mild climate. The heat will pick up once more in early February gearing up for yet another sweltering summer.
