Ermones – West Coast of Corfu

You can expect a short and swift 30 minute transfer from Corfu International Airport going to your Ermones hotel.

Many couples enjoy the self catering Ermones villas and apartments that are also available for tourists to choose from. There is a bus which goes to Corfu Town but to get it you must travel a fair distance. Taxis are the other option but it is wise to agree a price before you go anywhere.
Ermones – Sightseeing & Activities
Ermones beach is best place to relax on your holiday where the white sands and clear waters make for a tranquil atmosphere. Aside from laying back on a sun lounger you can also do a little scuba diving to explore the Mediterranean Sea to see the various species of marine life that inhabit it.
In keeping with the relaxing theme of Ermones you could enjoy a round or two of golf on the pristinely kept 18 hole golf course in the resort. Rock climbing is very popular with tourists as well as simple walks around the spectacular countryside which is covered in lush green forests.
Shopping in Ermones is limited and you will only find places selling souvenirs. If you are looking for a shopping trip with plenty of options then you will need to travel in Corfu Town where there is plenty of places to browse.
Ermones – Cuisine & Nightlife
You will find plenty of traditional Greek dishes on offer in every place where food is served. Ermones has a few taverns where the Greek and seafood dishes in particular are a real delight, especially if you are trying it for the first time. Those staying in Ermones villas or apartments that are self catering will find supermarkets around the resort to pick up ingredients for meals. If you are staying in an Ermones hotel you will find a small menu great for snacks during the day.
The resort is fairly quiet during the evening as the general ethos of Ermones is relaxation which is why people come here, however, it does have 3 discos where tourists and locals are frequent, dancing into the night. Most people come to Ermones and make their own entertainment in this peaceful and friendly resort, some of the hotels do provide evening entertainment but nothing overly extravagant.
Ermones – Weather & Climate
The weather in Ermones is typical of Corfu enjoying hot summers and mild winters. Over summer you can expect there to be plenty of chances to work on a fantastic tan to take home with you. The temperatures over summer reach as high as 30°C especially during the hottest months of July and August where you can expect over 10 hours of sunshine a day. Summer is certainly the best time to plan visit to Ermones, but it isn’t the only time worth considering.
During winter the temperature will drop to around 10°C with the lowest readings coming between December and January. The hours of sunshine per day will also be largely effected, coming down to around 5 hours. Most of the year’s rain falls during winter also starting in November and letting up when comes close to spring, the rain that does fall never lasts too long and tends to clear up relatively quickly. Despite the lower temperatures and odd rain shower the weather in Ermones is still warm and a great way to escape the damp and dismal winters back in the UK.
