Bali – North Coast of Crete
Enjoy a Bali holiday and relax on the North Coast of the popular Greek holiday island of Crete. During your Bali holiday you can take advantage of the fine public transport available with many buses heading to nearby resorts including Heraklion and Rethymnon. Taxis and hire cars are also available but of course are a more expensive option.
Bali – Fun & Activities
During your summer break the beach is certainly the place to be and it is there where you can enjoy the ultimate relaxation during your holidays to Bali. The beach has fine sands where you can lay back and soak up the sun on your summer holiday and then take a dip in Mediterranean Sea to cool down. You can try out one of the many water sports on offer around the beach area during you Bali holiday including things like jet skiing, water skiing, windsurfing, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, go sailing or hire out a pedal boat.
The beautiful scenery is simply waiting to be explored and going on hikes or mountain biking you can uncover some fantastic views of the town looking down to the sun kissed shore. Many tourists enjoy creating their own little adventure on their Bali holidays and by venturing across the landscape you can marvel at the great flora and wildlife that is on offer.
Excursions are equally as popular with holidaymakers in Bali as the island of Crete has plenty of historical sites that will give tourists an insight to the history. There is a nearby 17th century monastery you can visit and historic towns such as Rethymnon, Heraklion and Chania which have many monuments and landmarks which are top tourist attractions. Boat trips are often arranged allowing people to visit bigger and better beaches along the coastline.
There are shopping facilities available with mini markets and souvenir shops where you can pick up mementoes, jewellery and clothes during you holidays to Bali, but if you want a more extensive shopping experience you will need to head to the likes of Heraklion.
Bali – Food & Nightlife
There is plenty of cuisine on offer which will suit families and you’ll be able to enjoy an evening meal at an Italian and Chinese restaurant where the dishes might be more appealing to children. If you are interested in trying some classic Greek delicacies there are plenty of traditional restaurants serving popular national dishes for you to enjoy on a Bali holiday. Seafood is a popular option with locals as the ingredients tend to b very fresh and tasty. If you are staying in a Bali hotel or apartment going self catering you will find plenty of shops selling food goods from international brands.
You will be able to let your hair down at night during your holiday in Bali as there are a few pubs and bars to select from where you can wind down the day with a cocktail and some music. There are a couple of dance clubs available to enjoy an extended night but the nightlife in general is fairly low key.

The weather in Crete is one of the greatest factors to why so many people travel to the Greek island for their summer holidays. The fantastic resort of Bali enjoys great summer sun where the cloudless skies enable you to experience 13 hour of sun during the warmest month of August, also during this month you can expect the temperature to be around 27°C. Rain is practically none existent during this time which is great for relaxing during your Bali holidays.
The winter isn’t as warm which will come as no surprise but if you were looking to escape the cold British weather then you could be enjoying temperatures around 12°C and at least for hours of sun. From December to February the weather is quite mild though it will experience the most of the year’s rainfall during this time but still it never lasts too long.
