The greatest excursion to take is the trip to the ancient site of Olympia where you can get a great sense of Greek history. Whilst there you can see the original Olympic flame still burning and then explore the various ruins at the site.

Coming to the coastal resort of Stoupa you can expect to enjoy fantastically warm weather that is at its best over summer. During summer the temperatures can soar as high as 30°C especially over the peak summers months. These peak months are July and August when you can expect there to be around 12 hours of sunshine where the skies are blue and rain is nonexistent.
Over winter the hours of sunshine a day are reduced to 5 and the temperatures will go no lower than 10°C, whilst this is considerably lower than summer it still offers a mild climate to be enjoyed. The rain in Stoupa will occur between October and May with December singled out as the wettest month of the whole year.
