Moraira – South East Coast of Spain
The resort of Moraira is found along the Costa Blanca and is a great place where families come to spend some quality time together whilst enjoying fine Mediterranean weather. There is an excellent public transport system available around the resort, which is great with the likes of Alicante and Benidorm located nearby. If you aren’t a fan of bus journeys then you can take a ride in one of the reasonably priced taxis that you are able to flag down.
Moraira – Fun & Activities
The beautiful beaches are one of the best places where you can enjoy your holidays in Moraira, with turquoise coloured waters lining the shores you can enjoy either relaxing in the sun or taking a swim to cool down.
You can be entertained by the various water sports on offer around the beach area too, such as water skiing, jet skiing, snorkelling, scuba diving and windsurfing.
Many people who travel to this area of Spain already know of the great natural beauty on offer. That’s why there are plenty of trails to enjoy hiking, biking or even horse riding to get around and enjoy Moraira’s natural charm.
There is a fine golf course centrally located in the town which is available to all on a booking basis. You can head off on a glass bottomed boat excursion into the Mediterranean; go to Terra Mitica theme park or Aqualandia Water Park. Theres even an animal and safari park close by called Mundomar.
There isn’t a great amount of shops available in Moraira where you can find great designer labels, but there are places selling clothes, jewellery and the odd souvenir to take back home.
Moraira – Food & Nightlife
There are plenty of good places to eat in Moraira; you can find the typically popular international cuisines in the various British, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and even Mediterranean restaurants. There are some great seafood dishes to be found on some restaurants menus which are definitely worth a try.
There are also many bars around the resort where couples can enjoy a nice drink to wind down the day in a calm and comfortable environment. Many of the hotels in the region offer late night entertainment though many of them have families in mind.

The best time for Moraira is summer time where the warm weather reaches highs of 30°C at times, and you can enjoy that heat during the 11 hours of sunshine a day. The peak months for the best summer weather are July and August. During those months you will experience little if any rain at all.
Over the winter period temperatures fall, though on average never below 10°C which makes Moraira great for holidays all year round. There will only be around 5 hours of sun a day during this time too as well as a little more rainfall. However the resort maintains a hot climate over the colder months in comparison to most places on the planet.
