As Dubai is situated on a coastal strip bordered by desert it does get very hot, especially during the summer months. Many people choose to visit Dubai from May to September when the temperatures are at their highest, often reaching 45°C in the city area and even higher in the deserts. Outside of this peak season the area does cool slightly, making it ideal for those looking to enjoy a Dubai holiday without the extreme heat. Rainfall is not a common sight in Dubai however there is a slight chance of rain from December to April.
