The transfer time for this resort from Malaga airport is around 45 minutes. There is a total of 7 beaches in Nerja and the best one is Playa de Burriana with its long, golden sands. You will find a few large hotels in Nerja, however the majority of the hotels are fairly small. There is a large number of self-catering apartments as well as villas which have all of the facilities that you need, including swimming pools and kitchenettes and kitchen utensils. The speciality of Nerja is seafood. There is also a lot of local cuisine on offer. You will also find a lot of other cuisines such as British food, Chinese, Italian, Indian and Greek. If this still is not enough for you, then there are a few discos on offer as well. There are plenty of shops to choose from with clothing, jewellery, souvenirs and other little crafts. There is also a market every Tuesday morning. There is a regular and reliable bus service in Nerja that links with Malaga and runs from early morning until early evening.
Nerja Weather and Climate
Mijas has an average temperature of around 22°C with the average water temperature being 18°C. During the summer months, the water temperature can reach up to 23°C making water sports perfect. If you want to avoid visiting in the hottest months then visit in May or June where temperatures are around 27°C. The highest summer temperature tends to be around 30°C. The coldest month is January, however temperatures still manage to reach 16°C. The sun is always out and when it does rain, it is cleared up very quickly.
