The beach is home to many different water sport activities including scuba diving, windsurfing and snorkelling. Lifeguards regularly patrol the beach making it ideal for families with small children. Those that prefer to stick to dry land can try the many activities available within the resort. Mini-golf, go-karting and horse riding are all popular attractions along with tennis and mountain biking.

Car hire is available in the resort, providing the perfect excuse to drive along the coast to experience some of the other stunning Majorca beaches and hidden coves. The nearby Porto Cristo is home to the famous Caves of Drach, one of the islands most popular tourist attractions. The beach promenade also links Sa Coma to the neighbouring resort of S’Illot, a perfect place for romantic strolls and hiking activities.

On the outskirts of the Majorca resort, there is the famous Auto Safari Zoo where visitors can drive themselves around the four kilometre circuit in their own cars. The zoo also has a mini train which may be a wiser option as some of monkeys have a reputation for being quite destructive! Expect to see giraffes, elephants and large cats as well as horses which can be hired out from the Rancho Sa Como. Booking is essential for this fantastic attraction. The stunning Caves of Drach are also a must see for any Sa Coma visitor, the caverns are often illuminated and play host too many music shows.

image Although Sa Coma is a resort renowned for relaxation and peacefulness, the nightlife is vibrant and varied! Those wanting a Majorca holiday with plenty of night time activities should definitely consider visiting Sa Coma. The resort is home to many fiestas and festivals throughout the year, perfect for celebrating local culture and history.

With over ten bars located within the resort offering a variety of sports, karaoke and poker nights, visitors are spoilt for choice. There is a nightclub within the resort playing well known international music and staying open till the early hours. The nearby Cala Millor offers a more varied choice of nightclubs and is only a 5 minute car ride away.

Restaurants in the resort are also varied, with many offering cuisines from around the world. Many offer fresh, local sea food which is a definite must to try! Those that enjoy retail therapy can take advantage of Sa Coma’s variety of souvenir shops which sell a wide range of local leather, jewellery and pottery products. Although the resort does not have a market, the nearby Avenida las Palmeras hosts one every Wednesday.

Sa Coma Weather and Climate

During the summer months expect bright skies and hot temperatures similar to many Majorca holiday resorts. It is recommended to take advantage of the air conditioning that many Majorca villas’ and hotels are equipped with as the resort does get very hot! Winter months are still fairly mild with a slight chance of rainfall. July and August are the busiest months with the highest temperatures.
