On land you will find just as much to do if not more, with places like the Camel Safari Park or the Crocodile Park located on the island. Up on the mountainous landscape you will find Palmitos Park which is a botanical garden and aviary.
San Augustin has a few shops to choose from for clothes and souvenirs, there is also quite a few supermarkets. You should be able to pick some fine local crafts as gits for family back home as well as a few things for yourself.
San Augustin – Food & Nightlife
There are enough restaurants to give you a selection problem when you plan to dine during the day or on an evening, you may even choose to eat the fine dishes your hotel provides. Should you want a different choice still, you should head to Playas del Ingles where you will find traditional Italian, Chinese, British, and Indian restaurants.
The hotel you’ll be staying in will offer good, fun, live entertainment for all the family but if you are looking for a late night with cocktails, that is also available with many great bars offering music and some karaoke.
San Augustin Weather and Climate
Based on the south coast you can expect some fantastic weather in San Augustin with temperatures reaching around 30°C and when the winds from North Africa blow over they can get higher still. During the summer season there will be little rain.
If you plan to take your holiday during the winter months you can still expect the temperatures not to fall too far below 20°C, which is why many people tend to spend Christmas and New Year’s celebrations there. During this time you can expect a little more rainfall but things will clear up fairly quickly.
