There is so much to see in Tenerife and Santa Ursula offers you the best chance at seeing things. You can do a lot of sight-seeing when in Santa Ursula as it has many picturesque landscapes. One sight that many people will choose to see is the Orotava Valley located in north Tenerife. This is an area with cliffs and valleys that appear from the sea up to Mount Teide. You can get here by visiting Puerto de la Cruz, and it is well worth a visit because of its picturesque, relaxing views. Boat trips are offered from Santa Ursula taking you to the nearby island of Gran Canaria. Here you can enjoy looking at various museums and different cultures. One excursion that you must try is the visit to Mount Teide. The extinct volcano has proved to be a very popular excursion amongst tourists. You can take a coach trip up the volcano and then take a cable car further up the mountain to experience some brilliant views. You are very near Puerto de la Cruz which is home to the Aqua park. This can be reached by bus and is very popular amongst both children and adults. A trip to the LoroParque is also recommended.
Santa Ursula - an attractive and luxurious resort
Santa Ursula does offer bus services into Puerto de la Cruz, where you can then get a bus to Playa de las Americas. There are a few restaurants selling international cuisine and all food is very reasonably priced. There are various festivities going on throughout the year which you may be lucky enough to experience. These will enable you to really learn about the culture of Tenerife. The hotels in Santa Ursula offer you many facilities including swimming pools. There are some shops where you can by souvenir and clothing, however if you really want to shops, then taking a bus trip to Puerto de la Cruz is your best option. Many of the accommodations in Santa Ursula offer free bus trips into Puerto de la Cruz.
Santa Ursula Weather and Climate
Being in the north, Santa Ursula does not experience as good weather as the resorts in the south. In the winter months, more and more people are staying in the southern resorts for the better weather. During winter, it can be slightly colder and there is a higher risk of rain as the resort is located so close to Mount Teide. In the summer it is still very warm, however not as warm as other resorts. The temperatures remain at a comfortable high and the is a breeze to accompany this.
