While there is plenty to do in Skala, Greece has plenty of natural beauty which when explored can often be the greatest part of a holiday. Head down to the beach and experience some very clean golden sands and crystal clear waters which are the perfect place to spend the day. Spend hours working on your tan this summer or get involved with one of the various waters sports on offer around the beach, such as surfing, windsurfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, water skiing, jet skiing or hiring out a pedal boat. You can also find boat trips heading out from the beach taking you along the south coast and to some of the Greek Islands.
At night time organised turtle watches are very popular with tourists who enjoy seeing exotic wildlife in action. Perhaps you may be more interested in visiting the various historical sites found around the resort including the Roman ruins or the 7th century BC temple of Apollo. Daily excursions to Drogarati Cave, St Andreas Monastery and St Georges Castle are also cultural options for tourists to enjoy. Some trips go further than the local area and you can also visit the likes of Olympia on a day trip.
If shopping is a key part of your holidays then you will have plenty of places to go to including the great mini markets where you can pick up some unique souvenirs. There are also a few clothing outlets to pick up a few things too.

Summers will see the temperatures climb to as high as 27°C, especially during the peak months of July and August where the sun will shine for 12 hours. The long sunny days mean that you will be able to enjoy a holiday with cloudless skies and endless sun during summer.
Other times of the year still enjoy some great weather with temperatures rarely dropping below 10°C even during the winter period. Between November and February is when you can expect the most of the year’s rainfall to come and the hours of sunshine will drop to 6, though the climate still remains fairly humid.
