Tingaki is a beach resort that appeals to people looking for a relaxing holiday, lazing around on the beach. If you enjoy a holiday that is purely relaxing and peaceful then Tingaki is definitely the resort for you. The transfer time on average is around 45 minutes meaning you have plenty of time to look around at the surrounding scenery that Kos has to offer as well as gain an understanding of the location of the resort and the location of your accommodation within the resort. The beach in Tingaki is the longest beach on the island, stretching at 6 miles long. The beach is covered in golden sand that leads down to the waters edge. There can be a strong sea breeze at the beach so it is important that children are accompanied in the water at all times. You will find a number of sunbeds and parasols to hire on the beach and a number of water sports are available for your enjoyment. There are a number of hotels in Tingaki for you to enjoy offering half-board or all-inclusive. They are mainly 2-4-stars and are all close to the beach.

Tingaki - a number of beach and water activities for you to enjoy

Tingaki has one of the most attractive beaches which is perfect for relaxing on. However, if you prefer to do more than relax, then there are a number of water sports available. These include windsurfing, surfing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, scuba diving, snorkelling, parasailing and going for rides on banana boats. If you prefer to stay out of the water, then you can try other activities such as horse-riding or cycling, which are both brilliant ways to get around the resort and take in some of the sights. If you enjoy excursions, then you can try boat trips to other resorts and islands. The best excursion to go on is to Kos Town which is brilliant for shopping. From Kos Town you can also go on trips to other resorts and try other excursions.

Tingaki - a number of taverns and restaurants for you to choose from

Tingaki has a number or restaurants available to you located near the beach and main road. Most of the cuisine available is Greek with a lot of seafood as well. If you prefer something more familiar then there is also a lot of international cuisine available including British. There are a selection of bars available to you, some staying open later than others. Some also offer live music for you to enjoy. Shopping in the resort is also fairly limited, however you will find mini markets and a few souvenir shops. If you prefer some more serious shopping then why not try nearby Kos Town where you will find a bit of everything. Public transport in the resort consists of daily buses into Kos Town, taxis or car and bike hire.

Tingaki Weather and Climate

Tingaki enjoys a Mediterranean climate of very long and hot summers. July and August are the hottest months in the resort with an average temperature of 25°C although this commonly rises to highs of well over 30°C. May is the official start to the summer with temperatures at 21°C which quickly rises to 25°C by June. There is normally no rainfall over July and August and the evenings remain hot at highs of 22°C. July and August see 12 hours of sunshine a day which drops to around 5 hours a day in the winter. Spring and Autumn are pleasant times to come if you are not keen on very hot weather, with temperatures mostly ranging between 16-20°C. Winters tend to be mild in Tingaki with temperatures staying at around 10°C. Between October and May you can expect to see some rainfall but not to the extent that we are used to. December if the wettest month in Tingaki however it still tends to remain fairly warm.
